Liaison Report to the Senate (Discussion)

  • Academic Senate Designee- There is a topic of changing teacher evaluation. We see there is a lack of representation of faculty who are women and of color, so we are in need of student rep for FSAC, Richard Wekis, to work on that issue; Academic Master Plan will be sent out; looking for new programs, scheduling, student involvement.
  • University President’s Designee - save a Seawolf alcohol awareness week, A24 Bill that adresses abortion and hiring nurse practitioner to ensure compliance; intramural sports open, fall preview day, family weekend day, 160 families on campus, survey is now open and open to all students, current and new students to see what the campus can improve on, as the emails came , some of them used the dead name of the students instead of the preferred name, so letters of apologies will be coming out.
