Hello fellow Seawolves! My name is Cassandra Garcia and I am a third-year transfer student here at Sonoma State University and majoring in Psychology.  As a first-generation college student I understand the struggle of wanting to feel accepted within the community. Growing up with parents who immigrated here, I was always taught to work hard for what I want in life and appreciate the memories along the way. My time here has taught me many things about myself and it comes from having a support system that pushes me to always be my best self, and I want to build that connection with you all as well. My goal is to advocate for SSU students by working hard to make memories that will benefit everyone on campus. While we continue to learn more about one another, I aspire to strive for all of us to have a better experience here at SSU. And with that I want to create a community that is open to sharing and communicating concerns with one another. By helping students feel more welcome and accepted here at school, we can all grow together to make this campus into a more diverse community.
