AS Corporate Resolution - Approval of the Continued Funding Application (CFA) with the California Department of Education for the California State Preschool Program

Whereas

The Associated Students (AS) Senate serves as the Board of Directors of the Associated Students of Sonoma State University, Inc.; and

Whereas

The AS Children's School is a program of the Associated Students of Sonoma State University, Inc.; and

Whereas

The Associated Students of Sonoma State University, Inc. has been a California State Preschool Programs (CSPP) contractor for many years; and

Whereas

Associated Students of Sonoma State University, Inc. are required to submit a continued funding application for the CSPP contract regularly.

Therefore let it hereby be resolved that the Associated Students of Sonoma State University, Inc. Senate, (a.k.a. the Board of Directors of the Corporation) certify approval to submit the Continued Funding Application (CFA) to the California Department of Education (CDE). If the CFA is approved by the CDE, the agency's current California State Preschool Program contract and Prekindergarten and Family Literacy Support contract, if applicable, will be automatically renewed for fiscal year (FY) 2026-27. This resolution further authorizes the designated representative(s) below to sign the CFA and all related FY 2026-27 contract documents.

  2. Jenifer Barnett - Sonoma State University Managing Director of Contracts & Accounts Payable

Therefore let it hereby be further resolved that the Associated Students of Sonoma State University, Inc. Senate, (a.k.a. the Board of Directors of the Corporation) authorizes the persons listed below to sign the related reports to the aforementioned agreement.

  1. Amanda Visser - Sonoma State University Sr. Director for Accounting & Financial Reporting
  2. Nicole Hannah - Sonoma State University Post Award manager
